So this dear friends is what it is like to treated like a prince for the paltry sum of $26. To arrive uncertain and old into an unfamiliar scene and be welcomed with respect and kindness.
My best friend, now departed pierced my ear in 1969 with a needle and a bar of soap. I’ve had the same diamond stud in it for the past 30 years, a gift from my bucho in Japan, and a few days ago… it came out and I lost it.
So I came to The Powers That Be to get something new. Right choice. Brooke went over my choices with care, grace, and intuition. She understood exactly what I wanted, what enlargement my current hole would accept and fit me into her schedule immediately.
The space was immaculately clean, elegant, and creative. The process was respectful and painless. I felt the price was a steal.
I pay more for a meal than I paid for that… and after a meal I have not been magically transformed into a pirate.
Places like this have passion for their craft and deserve your support. They spread a culture of care and respect that grow in the community. They encourage us to strive in our own lives and businesses to treat each other well.

I’ve been pierced dozens of times by dozens of piercers. That said, I’ve never felt anywhere near as cared for as I’ve felt with Powers That Be. I’ve mostly worked with Rachel thus far. Her knowledge, kindness, respect, and professionalism make it effortless to trust in her ability to handle any piercing or piercing issue I may have. When I occupy her time, she focuses on me 100% and addresses my concerns fairly. There’s just a gut feeling of being in good hands. Not to mention that the team responds to my e-mails promptly, rather than leaving me hanging. At this point, I refuse to get a piercing anywhere other than here. All piercing shops ought to strive to live up to Powers That Be.

I wasn't the one getting pierced, but I went for moral support. Mind you have lots a piercings and I have been through the whole process with different shops. Rachel's approach to piercing was out of this world. She explained everything in great detail and the why's behind everything. I've had piercers be good with consent but Rachel went even above and beyond the normal standards of consent. I'm incredibly impressed with the shop and professionalism and will be coming here for all my future piercing needs!

I had an amazing experience here at The Powers That Be! Their website is beautiful and easy to navigate which made scheduling my appointment so easy. All of their prices are clearly listed and it's easy to find their policies so I wasn't confused about anything at all.

The shop is such a vibe and I really appreciated how clean and private it was. My piercer, Rachael, was able to sit down with me and answer all my questions about the piercing I wanted and the jewelry options they offered.

The actual piercing process was explained to me in detail and done in like 15 minutes with minimal pain. Rachael was great at making the process as comfortable and easy as possible and I know I'll definitely be coming back.

I 100% recommend coming here, the piercers know what they're doing and they provide an amazing service which made me feel great on my way out.

Amazing shop!! Highly recommend. Originally booked for an eyebrow, and when my piercer (Rachael) felt my face to see if I had the anatomy for one, she said that I could only be pierced in the middle of my eyebrow rather than the traditional placement. I was disapointed, but I got my vertical labret redone and my other nostril pierced instead. I wanted to have my jewelery andonized to be dark purple like all my other jewelery but they couldn’t quite get it the same color so I opted for silver after some thinking. I was a bit indecisive and wanted my nostril done as a last minute decision but they were still kind and patient with me. The process was quick and easy, I didn’t feel uncomfortable or judged, my piercer continuously asked permission to feel my face when she needed to and I felt at ease the entire time. Typically, Rachael says she pierces nostrils at 16g but I requested 18g which she had no problem with. The shop is very clean and tidy as well as a calm aesthetic that doesn’t feel too bright or too dark. Amazing work! Thank you Rachael! (And some kinda gross piercing pictures, the orange is iodine and they be a little crusty lol)

If I could rate higher, I absolutely would. 10/10 experience with Rachel today. Made our time at the powers that be a unforgettable one..
